The Tanzania Sky Safari has been expertly crafted using local and expert Safari knowledge to highlight the crowing jewels of Tanzania’s Safari locations. The Tanzania Sky Safari will take you through the sublime Eden that is the Ngorongoro Crater, over the Baobab and Elephant dotted Tarangire & the endless plains of the Serengeti. Tanzania Sky Safari Itinerary
Arrival & Day 1
This 8 day Sky Safari will take you from the highs above the Ngorongoro highlands and the lows of the Endless Serengeti Plains. To start the Tanzania Sky Safari you will first rest your feet at the world famous Arusha Coffee Lodge, after your flight into Tanzania’s Kilimanjaro Airport . The Coffee Lodge is situated at the foot of Mount Meru among evergreen coffee plantations. As a Sky Safari guest, your stay will be all-inclusive and you will be welcomed with a sample of a cool refreshing coffee-infused beverage. All Tanzania Sky Safari guests receive a complimentary room upgrade to one of the luxurious plantation suites which are nestled perfectly among the beautiful plantation.
Day 2 & 3
The day after your stay at the Coffee Lodge, you will be transferred to, and met by you guide at the Tarangire Airstrip and immediately take a game drive through the stunning Tarangire National Park. The National Park itself is famed for its huge herds of Elephants and beautiful jaw-dropping vistas over the diverse ecosystem. Your game drive will come to a finish at the uniquely spectacular Tarangire Treetops. The accommodation is a collection of elevated luxury apartments that poke out among the branches of the famous Tarangire Baobab trees; each are thousands of years old. Enjoy long game walks alongside the Elephants and gaze over the sunset with a sundowner cocktail from the comfort of your panoramic viewing balcony, or atop the aptly named ‘Sunset Hill’. Your Stay at Tarangire will be for days 2 & 3.
Day 4 & 5
Your next flight will take you to the world famous Ngorongoro Conservation Area and you will be the welcome guest at the The Manor at Ngorongoro. The Manor itself is a stunning cape-dutch styled farm house that calls back to a time of splendor in early African exploration. Standing on the edge of the Ngorongoro Crater, the Manor provides an experience that stays with guests long after they have returned home; the beauty of the views are only rivaled by the wildlife that awaits you on the crater floor. The caldera floor encompasses open grassy plains, riverine forest, fresh and soda lakes and acacia thickets and is home to a vast array of wildlife, including the big 5. the Elewana Sky Safari guests will enjoy the Manor’s ‘high tea’ and will be welcomed into their very own manor cottage to sit back and relax before the evening dinner in the Main House. Over days 4 &5, enjoy the swimming pool, game rooms, stables, spa and other facilities on offer.
Day 6 & 7
After embarking on your flight over the Ngorongoro highlands, you will next set foot on the world famous endless plains of the Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is Tanzania’s oldest national park and attracts film makers, scientists and writers from all over the world; each travel to Tanzania to set foot in the theater of the lion. You will be taken back to the early pioneers of the Serengeti at the Serengeti Migration Camp which offers a unique opportunity to become acquainted with a way of life that many of us have long forgotten, yet maintaining the luxury of today. The camp is situated along the Grumeti River, in the north of the Serengeti which offers unrivaled game viewing and easy access to wildebeest river crossings. Enjoy days 6 & 7 acquainting yourself once again with nature and sleep under the millions of stars twinkling above you.
Day 8
After a leisurely lunch, you will once again take to the road for a shared game drive in the Serengeti which will come to a close at the Serengeti Airstrip. Upon arriving back at the Arusha Airstrip, you will be transported back the Arusha Cooffee House where all Tanzania Sky Safari guests will be invited into a day room to relax while they look forward to being booked into one of the the excellent plantation suites for one final night.
* After the optional trip to Lake Manyara National Park, quests will return to the lodge for lunch before being transferred to the airstrip for their onward flight.
