Safari in Kenya?
Did you know that the Maasai Mara in Kenya and the Serengeti are connected?
The only thing separating them is the border. Kenya has a wonderful reputation for it's Safari industry; however, Tanzania is considered to be a better example of "untouched wilderness" and is actually home to the scenery most people expect to see in Kenya.
Why choose? If you'd like to see the best of Kenya, and Tanzania, get in touch and we can organise an itinerary that gets the best our of both countries.

KENYA VS TANZANIA
The Tanzania Safari Club was founded in 2018 out of a love for Tanzania. We've also travelled extensively through Kenya too. They are so close, so why not!? Kenya and Tanzania share many of the same natural ecosystems and wildlife, but differ in their experience.
While we love Tanzania, we understand why so many people suggest Kenya as a preferable destination. It can be more cost-effective (only for Luxury hotels though!), the road infrastructure is better and closer to the Airport (in Nairobi).
Tanzania's national parks, however, span a greater distance, have a greater abundance of the most famous Safari experiences and get you closer to nature.
The trade off is Kenya is more convenient - Tanzania is a truly authentic experience.
But why choose? Whether you're flying into Kenya, or Tanzania, we can help you see the best of both countries.

Bring home
wild memories.
The Tanzania Safari Club was founded in 2018 out of a love for Tanzania.
With deep connections between the UK and Tanzania, our team is uniquely placed to design and advise on safari and holiday experiences that bring you closer to Tanzania’s wildlife, people, and culture. We help you immerse yourself fully in every adventure.
Our mission is simple: to help you truly SEE Tanzania - and return home with wild memories to SHARE.

1. Let Us know what you'd like to see or do.
There are so many decisions to be made. What animals do I want to see? Where are they? The Serengeti? Tanzania or Kenya? 3, 4 or 5 days? Camping, lodge or hotel? Should I book the beach too?
We've been there - so you don't have to worry. Tell us what is important, and we can do the rest.

2. Let us curate an experience using our local knowledge and experience.
What makes us different is our heritage and experience. We've worked, lived and travelled to Tanzania, and been on Safari holidays ourselves.
We've seen first hand how much more you can get from the experience with a little bit of local knowledge - we're offering ours for you to use.
We can bring together all the moving parts to make your experience unforgetable.

3. Get booked, excited & ready to travel.
Once the planning is out of the way, we can get you booked in and ready to go.
We'll help you get prepared with expert checklists, tips, tricks & recommendations.
Then, it's time to get excited!

About us
Our story started over 10 years ago. In many ways, it is a love story—one between Bonita, from Tanzania, and Ian, from Scotland. Their shared passion for adventure, culture, and connection is what led to the founding of The Tanzania Safari Club in 2018.
From the very beginning, everything we do has been guided by three key missions: Kutembelea (to visit), Kushiriki (to share), and Kufundisha (to teach). These pillars shape how we design experiences, support communities, and celebrate Tanzania’s incredible people and landscapes.

What is the Kuona Foundation?
Tanzania is a rich, vibrant, and unforgettable country. It is so much more than some of the last natural wildlife viewing destinations and world-class paradise beaches. It’s a place full of life, culture, and stories waiting to be discovered.
Our mission is simple: to help you see Tanzania - to experience it firsthand, to understand its people and cultures, and to carry those experiences home. By doing so, we raise awareness of Tanzania and its incredible diversity, while supporting tourism that creates opportunity and growth.
The KUONA Foundation extends this mission. Through it, we raise funds for schools and community-building projects across Tanzania, helping to empower future generations and ensure the country continues to thrive and inspire visitors from around the world.
